so, why blogger??
this all began after i read a post of one of the seniors here, kak ina, and i thought:"maybe i should start a new one, too". i want to 'kutuk' org jugak!!haha...well i already have one in fs, but let's try posting at a new place. =p
epilogue...
raye. the end of ramadhan. the celebration day for muslims around the world(canada beraye a bit late, huhu), the day that finally we can eat(jage ko tim horton! =p), the day i celebrate with friends alike, together, without families, kesyahduan kian terase.

i was surprised to receive a parcel from malaysia last night. in it was a letter from my mum. she said that i'll be a good son in canada(which i've always been lol) and hoped i'll be fine here. there were also some kuih raye, serunding, nasi himpit and a piece of kain sampin!! finally i can celebrate raye with complete baju melayu...huhu...but the kuih raye was very nice! made by mother, i could still feel the keenakan of it, thus i missed the days our siblings had to come home during a weekend of ramadhan just to make kuih raye with mum. so i took them to the senior's house, giving them a taste of what it's like to eat some homemade kuih raye...

the feeling of raye is not the same from what i felt in msia. even the muslims here didn't feel anything when it comes to eidulfitri. its just a day where they can finally eat during the day and going to the mosque. there's no relative visits(maybe there are, but not many), open feast, duit raye(my source of income in previous rayes), holidays(luckily i had only 1 class on the 1st raye) and so on. nevertheless, eid mubarak is celebrated peacefully and happily around here.

so, how do i celebrate raye?
firstly, upon playing game hantu at the senior house, i realized that i was alone to go back to my rez(kak fara and asma from the same rez left earlier). since it's already 2am, i didn't dare to go back home! so i decided to sleep there, staying up with kak ina who were busy preparing the dishes for raye(all other boys in the house were either pengsan in their rooms or doing their things). i was kinda late to prepare myself the next morning. we took a bus to broadway at 8++ am. the hope was there to perform solat aidilfitri in vancouver. but when we arrived, people were already reciting the doa and left the building! haha we just arrived there and pretended that we just left the mosque as well. i even got 5 bars of mars snack from one of the imams there! so then we went to tim horton for breakfast. a place that i always wanted to come since the first day i arrived here. since the place keeps closing at 7 pm in ubc, i didn't had the chance to try it.huhu(a note to mara students in UBC: ak dah rasmi tim horton dlu!!wakaka)

the day continues like every other day. we got to our classes like always. now i just finished and should be studying math right now(got a midterm exam tomorrow. instead of studying, i wrote a blog. ish3...) .

well, i had the chance to call my family on the morning of raye in malaysia. mmg syahdu gile r! i remembered a pic that my sis gave me after they had done the kuih raye. it's a pic of almond londons, with abg(abang) written on them.

ah! i really missed home!!!! they even 'tayang' me their baju raye!!

xpe2, this is just a challenge to the perantau like me.huhu..

lastly, i just want to wish SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI to all the muslims in the world. this raye will be much more different than before. i hope those who had the kad raye i sent will like it. i wanted to try something different this year. haha

so tonight, we're gonna have an open house at the senior's house. everybody's welcomed!!lots of things to see and share. ade game antu gak! =p
